Speech team gives students an opportunity to develop and improve on their public speaking skills in a supportive, fun environment. Many speech categories give an experience similar to theater, while other involve original speech writing and reading poetry. Scripted or unscripted, partnered or solo, Speech Team offers students an opportunity to build life skills, and have fun doing it!

Speech Team season runs from early August until early October, with three competitions against other EVSC schools during this time period. There are two practices a week; However, attendance is only expected at one. Speech can even be practiced at home, so if you're in another demanding sport, you CAN do both! Afterschool buses will be provided after each practice.
